How it works.

This page explains the directory's implemented search behaviour. It is not a promise about the practices of external businesses or your browser's location provider.

Location search

The directory downloads locality data and matches typed locations in your browser. The search code does not submit your typed street address or device coordinates to a directory search server. “Use my location” requests browser permission; typing a suburb or postcode is an alternative.

Search URLs

Selected suburbs, states, service searches and other filters can appear in the page URL and browser history. Copying a search URL shares those filters. Avoid entering private information into the name or service field. Normal page requests, including query strings, may be processed by the hosting provider.

Hosting and external services

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Hosting services may process connection information to deliver and secure pages. Business websites, social networks, email applications and browser location services have their own data practices.

Correction form

When enabled, the correction form sends your reply email, profile URL and message to the directory operator through Cloudflare and Resend. Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions for abuse. These providers process data to deliver and protect the form. The recipient mailbox is kept on the server and is not included in the public page. Do not include sensitive personal records.
